Weiss wasn't sure what she'd felt more nervous about: running for voodoo queen or this date with Wally. Despite hanging out together more than once, this was the first time it had been called a date, and she wanted everything to go well. She knew she shouldn't be freaking out as much as she should, but she couldn't help it. This was the first time in a long time that she'd actually been excited about a date. Any other ones she'd gone on in the past were usually with boys that were the stuffy, posh kind she hated, or she'd find out that they were just using her for her last name and she'd had her heart broken over it. She glanced at her phone. The pizza she'd ordered would be arriving in the next fifteen minutes or so, which left her just enough time to show Wally around her new place once he got here. Sure, it wasn't big or grand compared to LaFayette manor, but it was still her own, and she loved it for that.

Why was he so nervous? It was just a lunch. A lunch between two friends. It wasn't like it was a big business meeting to discuss a new line of clothes that Adrien always had to deal with. He let the words come out and sure, he acted a big game but most of the time, girls never even wanted to join him for a walk in the park.
'Breathe in and out.' he thought, bouncing on the toes of his feet. 'You are a super-hero for goodness-sake. A little lunch with a girl you like is nothing.'
His green eyes scaled his clothes, never one for fashion, he had no real female friends to give him advice on what looked good for a lunch date but he was thankful for taking the modeling gig, the clothes he wore were at least well-fitting. They had to at least make a good impression. Not like he was meeting her parents. No, he hoped that wouldn't come up for awhile. "Alright, here you go.' he said out loud before taking a final step in adjusting his jacket and smoothing his hair as best as he could.
Raising his hand, he knocked on the door.

Weiss felt herself jump at the knock at her door, and immediately felt like an idiot for it. "For God's sake Weiss, it's a lunch date, not an execution," she muttered to herself. This was Wally, who she could always relax around and tell him anything. Reminding herself of that made her calm down a bit, and by the time she opened the front door, she had a smile on her face. "Wally, hey! Come on in," she said. "Mi casa es su casa. At least, I think that's how the saying goes." She gave a little laugh.

Wally smiled slightly at her enthusiasm, he could sense that she was just as nervous as he was. Maybe even more. "That is exactly how it goes. You know spanish very well." he joked before looking at her apartment. While it would have looked like a normal apartment, Weiss was already making it look like her own home. "This is a really nice place."

"I know, right? I love it," Weiss said with a grin. "Come on, I'll show you around." Without even thinking, she took Wally's hand and led him inside. "So, I've got a little sitting room right over here, for people who want to meet with me and stuff. And the kitchen's right down that way. And the den is to the right. I have to admit, shopping for furniture was more fun than I thought it would be." Weiss felt like her main goal with this house was to make it hers, but still be inviting enough for those who wanted to visit, or discuss voodoo queen business with her. The sitting room was professional-looking for business matters, while the kitchen was decorated in cheery colors, and the den was spacious enough where she could invite a whole bunch of friends over without it being too crowded.

He was surprised with the sudden movement and could feel himself smiling. There was a different vibe around her this time, he never believed in magic but it seemed like something different happened, was there such a thing as a happiness spell? If there was, it seemed like the girl had been hit with a ton of it. The house already felt like it was hers. It felt like a home.
He couldn't feel any tension or anything in the air, it was warm and nice. "You certainly know your stuff, I don't know anything about making furniture to make the room stand out." he chuckled. "Maybe I should hire you to remodel my place."

"Oh, I'm sure you're place isn't that bad," Weiss said. Although the idea of seeing it someday made her kind of excited. If Wally's place was anything like him, it was probably laid back and pretty chill. "I wouldn't want to crowd out your style anyway. We all have our own. Before Sunshine moved in with my brother, her apartment had paintings and drawings everywhere. Everything was so brightly colored and cheerful." Now, that colorful style had been mixed in with Riku's more sensible one, and they'd made a pretty nice home for themselves. Although Weiss had been excited to get her own place, she'd been a little sad to leave Riku and Sunshine's. It had been her home for a long while, and they'd been good to her. She'd promised to make time to visit them often.

Wally couldn't help but give a small laugh, if only she knew. Bad wasn't the worst of it, if one counted a few dirty clothes on the floor when he got lazy, he had kept it pretty much the same as it had been when they had gotten there. He couldn't bare to change it. "I do admit, my cool style would overwhelm you. I would hate to have you faint because of how awesome it is." Though, if he ever did have Weiss come to visit, he would have to clean up, there was quite a bit of comic books and dirty clothes everywhere. Not to mention hide the costume.
"Sunshine, she's the one who runs the bakery right?"

Weiss snickered. "Oh, I didn't know you lived in Coolesville," she joked before giving a laugh. Okay, that had been a little corny, but she couldn't help it. Wally asked about Sunshine and she nodded in answer to his question. "Yeah. She works at the Others Unit too. That's how she and my brother met." In a way, Weiss kind of regretted not being there to see the love between Sunshine and Riku bloom. She'd been too engrossed in her own problems at the time. Then again, she hadn't paid attention to much of anything outside of herself. It was hard to get invested in other things when she had her parents, and later on the shadow spirits, to deal with.

Wally smirked and wiggled his eyebrows playfully. "I don't just live there, I'm the mayor of Coolesville." he couldn't help but laugh at the idea of such a thing. "I could put in a good word for you, you could be the head-designer for the town." How long since he had made jokes like that with friends? It had been too long. "Wow, you are practically living with all the Other Units. That must be pretty swanky. A little scary too."

Weiss laughed along with Wally. Yeah, the jokes they were making were kind of stupid. But honestly, it had taken her a long time to even get to a point where she could laugh at stupid stuff. Might as well savor every moment. Wally commented how living with Others Unit members was kind of cool, but sounded a little scary, and Weiss just shrugged in response. "I know the Others Unit can look intimidating sometimes, and some people still aren't too sure of them. But they've done a lot of good here, especially during the Apocalypse." Sure, Weiss had done her own thing by helping people and slaying some monsters here and there, but the Others Unit had really stepped up and helped protect people. Heck, it was all thanks to that Shadow guy that the Apocalypse was even stopped. You had to give credit where credit was due. The doorbell suddenly rang at that moment though, making Weiss turn her head. "Sounds like the pizza's here," she said as she started to move towards the door. "You can make yourself comfy in the kitchen. I got it."

He almost mentioned that he had met one of the Other Units already, Shadow. It had been a rather strange encounter that Wally recalled from time to time. He wondered if he would see the man again in the future, when the doorbell rang, Wally smile became bigger. "Good place and great food, you really know how to treat your guests." he joked, as he watched her walk towards the door before returning to surveying the room and walking to the kitchen.
It was just as nice as the rest of the house and while he wasn't going to just grab a drink from the fridge, it did remind him that eventually he would have to go and get food for himself. 'Can't spend all your time eating instant noodles.' he chuckled before sitting down in one of the chairs.

"You can thank Adrien for that," Weiss said with a laugh. "Yang taught him the joys of junk food and he wanted to make sure I experienced them as well." Heck, Weiss still remembered the days when Adrien's dad had been concerned with his son keeping up his "model ready" body and make sure he was on a strict diet. Luckily, his early dates with Yang involved things like burgers and pizza and it had finally let him break away from that. And once he'd been hooked, he'd insisted Weiss get in on it too. Weiss paid for the pizza and brought it over to the kitchen. "I wasn't sure what toppings you liked, so just pick off what you don't want," she said, opening it up to reveal a pizza with pepperoni and sausage on one side and mushrooms and peppers on the other.

(i swear i had made a post for this, must have gotten lost in the void :X)
Wally's eyes sparkled playfully at the remark. "He can be very convincing," he said, as he grabbed a slice and waved it in his hiand/ "The joys of junk food can be a blessing and a curse." If it wasn't for the fact that he had to keep an eye on his diet for a model, he would probably be eating only instant noodles and junk food. "Oh, and no worries about that. I'm not picky. I learned early on from my mom, not to waste anything."

((That's okay, no worries!))
"Can't argue with that," Weiss agreed. Too much junk food could be a real hazard to your health. But honestly, if she needed a cheat day, she liked nothing more than a greasy burger or pizza, or one of Sunshine's baked goods. Sometimes she was surprised that her brother hadn't gained twenty pounds after living with her for so long. Who could resist things like beignets and muffins and cookies made from scratch? "Sounds like the exact opposite of how I grew up," Weiss commented when Wally mentioned his mom. Her parents were very particular about some stuff, and had no qualms about throwing out something like a meal or a piece of art and requesting it be made again if it didn't suit their tastes. They liked the finer things in life, as they used to say.
