If there was one thing Yang had learned to do over the years, it was haggle. People at Magnolia Road always tried to sell their stuff for more than it was worth. If she could haggle well enough, she could usually bring the price down to a somewhat more reasonable level. It wasn't like she had a choice anyway. She had to haggle if she wanted to make her cash last. At the moment, she had happily bought a small set of tools, neatly stored in a red toolbox. It would come in handy when fixing up her hideout. She glanced at her list while walking, and didn't notice until it was too late that she was on a collision course with someone. She bumped into them, but not too roughly. "Oh, sorry dude," she said, turning around to see who she had bumped into.

As Hiro was going around the area, he did feel himself getting a little chilly by the winds. Although he did have a hoody on, it was not enough to beat the winds since they were pretty strong this evening, and he did realize that the place was meant for people to sell merchandise as well. He was just adopted by the young man as well, so, he was not sure if the man showed him specific area, so, this was his first time going around. He did look to the left and to the right to make sure that there was no creatures at this time. If there was, he would have to call up and let the police know that there was something from the supernatural going around. As he was walking, he did sense something going towards him, whether it was a creature or an officer letting him know that he was past his curfew. The sound was footsteps, and not a creature footstep, which was a pretty good sign that that he was safe. He did feel a person bumping into him, and it did sound like a female voice. He did turn around and saw a female figure, and he rubs his head. The young boy gets himself up and looks at the female, who did look tall compared to his size. "Hey, it's ok. I didn't see you there either." He said, with a shy look upon his face. He then saw that the lady carried some sort of toolbox her hand and wondered if she had a job here. "So, what's in the toolbox? You work here?" He asked, as that that was an awkward question coming from a small teen. He did look up at her face and did blush a little, thinking that she was pretty. "So, who are you?" He asked, playing with his messy bedroom hair.

Yang managed to get a look at the person she had bumped into. It was a boy, probably a few years younger than she was. He seemed to be on the lanky side, but he didn't look like he had just crawled out of a trashcan, so odds were, he probably wasn't a street kid. That was how most kids looked before Yang took them in and gave them proper clothes and some good food. Sure, there were still days where their clothing had some stains on them and they didn't look the cleanest, but at least they were surviving. And that was what was important to Yang. "Nope," she replied, shaking her head. "I'm a shopper. I just picked this up for a friend." She wasn't sure if anybody would hire her anyway. It was kind of hard to fill out a job application when you didn't really have an address. "My name's Yang," she answered, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder. "What about you?" She gave a friendly smile.

As he looked at the young female who did look older than him, she thought that she would be the protective type and thought that she did look friendly enough and the both of them could get along pretty well, even though he was not sure that she was part of the BPD herself. He did feel his head hurting a bit and did feel a bit cold from the chilly air, but, his clothing did seem to do justice and it kept him warm at least. He did remember from the past most kids did look homeless, especially during the battles with the creatures, and luckily, the person who adopted him was able to keep him safe, even though he could fend for himself at least help out the adults when trying to fight crime or at least find the evidence. Luckily, there wa a coffee shop around the area on where he could get some coffee and a bite to eat so, he could get some energy, He continued to look up at the young woman and thought that she would at least help a lot of people, especially some gifts for the kids, but, was not too entirely sure, but, it did look like as though she wanted others to be safe as well, which is a good thing. He hear her mention that she was a shopper, and he nodded. "A shopper? That sounds cool. So, do you end up buying things for anyone who needed anything like food or clothing?" He asked, with a small grin, hoping that one day, he could at least help her out since he does care about the people around here, especially if they were anyone his age or anyone's age in general. He then heard the young woman introducing herself as "Yang" and he nodded, thinking that was a cool name for a person like her, and he thought that she had a cool personality. "I'm Hiro, nice to meet you, Yang." He said, and gave her a fist-bump with a small giving. He was curious, as he wanted to know on how long she has been doing the shopper job for. "I'm just curious, is being a shopper a hard job since there is a lot of people around the area? I have to say, doing a job like that is a really nice one. I'm just a town citizen, and I at least try to help the BPD by tracking evidence." He said, trying to make a good conversion with the blonde haired lady, who did seem really nice.

Yang had to smile when the boy, who introduced himself as Hiro, gave her a little fist bump. It was cute. Despite his age though, he seemed to talk very formally. Maybe it was just how he was raised? Some kids were like that, but it was mostly the rich ones. Hiro seemed to be at least middle class. "Nah, shopping's not too bad as long as you know where you're going," she replied. "And if you avoid the rush hour. It's pretty calm now, but it an get pretty crowded during the holidays and stuff." She was surprised to hear, however, that Hiro had some dealings with the BPD. "They let a little kid like you work with them?" she asked, astonished. This kid must be a genius if the police wanted him to help with evidence and what-not.

As he saw that the young woman was happy when she wa giving him a fist bump back, he was pretty glad that she was able to see him as a cool kid when doing that action towards her. He was able to interact with her formally, even though he had not met anyone else yet, but hopefully, he will in the near future while he was over here in the area. He did have that adopted older brother who did teach him wrong from right, which could make him get along with pretty much anyone and he was glad that he got taught right from wrong, in case in an emergency, he could at least help others. He was not raised by force to get along with other people, as he wanted to get along with others, which is a good quality on his part, since he did need to at least make some friends when being around the area, as long he made himself lookout for any weird creatures going after him when being on his own. He then heard her mention that the shopping job was not that bad, he nodded with a small grin. "Gotcha. I guess it's not a bad job as well." He then gave her a small wink, as it was not a flirty one but, one with a small bit of admiration. "You do look like as though you do have a sense of direction to help all sorts of people from all over here, even though it was a danegous area, but, I can tell that you can handle it." He said, and gave her a thumbs up. He did listen to her mentioning that whenever it's the non-holiday season, it would not be a bad time to shop and help other people in need as he could imagine that the holidays would be the shoppers' nightmares that they would never forget. Although he was not a shopper himself, he could imagine one day being one, like this young haired blonde woman was. He could imagine it being a job that could be used for a good cause and it would warm his heart. He then heard her asking him if he had to deal with the BPD before, and he nodded. "Well, I am not part of the police department due to my age, but, if I needed to be a witnes of a crime, I would go up to one of the officers right away," He responded, with a small wink, hoping that he would be able to at least be part of the BPD when he was a couple of years older.

"I guess," Yang replied. "I don't know if working around here's really my thing, though. I'm more of an action girl. I like something that can get the blood flowing, you know?" That was half the reason why Yang usually earned money by participating in underground fights. Sure, they were illegal, but she felt like it wasn't the worst crime to commit. Besides, in her mind, she earned her money fair and square that way. She used her own wits and skills to win a match and get cash. She glanced at Hiro before asking "So, how long have you lived here?" Hiro seemed to think her knowledge of the place was pretty admirable. Did he move here within the last year or something? Or maybe he just didn't get out much. He explained a little more about how he assisted the BPD, and how he even hoped to work there for real once he was old enough. "I see," Yang commented. She had a few friends who were BPD members, but there was still a bit of tension between her and the rest of the police force. Some of it was because of crimes she had committed in the past. Others were because of her already existing hatred of the police. If Hiro became a member once he was old enough, she wasn't sure how he would turn out.

As he was looking up at her while the conversation continued, he could tell that she was capable of doing anything, especially when shopping for all of those people. He then was looking up at her hearing her mentioning that she was not sure that working at this job was not really her thing, and he nodded, thinking that she would like to do something else besides this job. He could also tell that she was an action girl, just by the attitude and by the clothing and of course, by the way she spoke. "Well, I have to say, being in action is pretty awesome, wish that I could one day be in action like that. But, the only thing that I can only do in action is just, run I guess." He said, with a shrug, wishing that he could act like the other adults like the police men and women. "Hey, if you could do action, maybe you could try to be part of the BPD, I'm just saying that could maybe get your blood pumping as well." He suggested, with a small smile. He then ended up thinking that her being part of the BPD would be good, but, he was just giving her a suggestion, not saying for her to do it. He then could imagine her doing something else to earn money and to exercise her own body to get the blood pumping, but, he could not think of any for now. He then heard her asking a question asking on how long she was been in the area for, and he scratched his chin, as he was trying to think of how long he did stay in the area for, and it must have been a long time since he was being picked up by his brother, so, he had to say for either a while or a long time ever since he got adopted from Tadashi. "Well, I have to say, I guess since I was an orphan, so, I guess either four or five years old. I have seen a lot of creatures outside a window and I guess I have to say, they are pretty dangerous.." He said, with a small look of disgust as he remembered an officer that was a hedgehog looking at him for protection when he went with his adopted brother. He then saw her listening to him about the dream of becoming a BPD officer and one day, fight crime with the others, but for now, staying as a young evidence finder would be fine, and at least he could help the officers find something slimy or some blood. That way, he could at least interact with them.

Yang had to fight the sour taste in her mouth when Hiro mentioned maybe she should join the BPD. She knew it was just an innocent suggestion and he didn't know why she hated most police officers, but that didn't stop the bad feelings that churned in her stomach. But, she was able to push them down and get a smile on her face. "Nah, I don't think so, kid. BPD isn't really my thing," she replied. That was an innocent enough answer, right? She hoped so, otherwise, Hiro was going to get curious. "Well, sometimes, the real monsters don't really look like monsters," she warned Hiro. "Sometimes, they look just like you and me. You gotta watch out for that."

Although he did notice her having a bad taste in his mouth when hs suggested that she should join the BPD, he felt, as thought that he said the wrong thing, and he never meant to say that as a literal idea to push, but, it was just a small suggestion after all. He felt as though now his suggestion was way out of left wing, but it was better than no suggestion at all to keep her blood running, but, he did assume that she would be doing other things as well as doing the shopping job or something else. He knew that there would be other jobs for her to do in the meantime, besides those two jobs, or maybe she had a hobby, like running for exercise, but, did not need to ask her any questions regarding on what she does. He then could tell that she did not like the officers around the area but, then again, Hiro felt an awkward feeling going towards his head as thought he said something that was way out of left wing. He would have throught of other things, but, then, decided to to wauit until she mentioned on what she did in the meantime to keep herself busy besides that one shopping job. But, then again, did not want to get this young lady uncomfortable by asking too many questions so, all he had to do was just at least listen to her mention on what she liked to do, besides not joining the BPD. He then finally heard her mentioning that the BPD is not her thing, and he nodded his head, as thought he did understand, and would imagine on how tough being a policewoman could be especially with fighting all the monsters and creatures that were going back and forth, and of course, he needed a way to protect himself from them, and also, look at some evidence that he would find to at least help the officers at least. He then heard her mention some sort of wearing that not all monsters look like random creatures that were going on the street, and he was shocked to hear that some even look like humans. That, was unexpected, but, at least he heard that from an adult now than later if he ever faced on in reality and then he would be at least taking some pictures with them on his cell phone to show the police on what was going on in the area. He looked up at her with a nod, as he was willing to have his brain absorb all of that. "Thanks for letting me know about that, Yang. I will surely keep that in mind when going around the area." He thanked her, and gave her another fist bump, as to let her know that he was ready to be prepared if anything could happen, that he had knowledge about creatures not looking like literal monsters, but, like humans. He had to share that to the police one day in the future, so, they could at least know as well.

If Hiro had any questions about Yang and the cops, he kept them to himself, which Yang was grateful for. She always got a little moody when people pried into her past. And he was even thankful for the advice she gave him. She had to smile as he fist-bumped her again. "So, besides being super smart and helping out the police sometimes, what else do you do?" she asked. If this kid was smart, he was probably in some kind of advanced school program or something. Maybe he had skipped a grade or two. She wondered what kind of geek he was. Was he one of the computer geeks that could hack into anything? Or a science geek that was always doing crazy experiments?

He did not need to ask her anything else or mention anything regarding the police, and he only met one that looked like a blue hedgehog creature of some sort, and he did remember him mentioning that he needed to be careful while being around the area, and it was even with his older adoptive brother. He could tell that she did not want to talk about her past, so, he decided on not to ask her any questions whatsoever, as usually, past stories are personal. He did not even want to talk his past either, unless he needed to vent about something regarding it or if anyone asked him about it, he would have to gather many thoughts in a way that people could understand. He then could tell that the advice that he gave her would make her feel at least he did something good and useful when he was in a conversation. "Hey, no problem. I am here, if you need help with anything, and if you need a partner, I would not mind helping out at all." He said, and gave her the fist-bump back with a small, yet a playful flirty wink. He then heard her asking him on what he did like to do for fun besides, using his brains to help the police; that was an easy one, and he tapped his chin on how to answer that question, and of course, there were many things that a young teen, like himself would like to do for fun. "Well, besides helping out the police, I do like to play on my cell phone, play video games at my adoptive brother's apartment, and take long walks. I always use my flashlight at night so, I can see on where I am going, in case it would be a creature coming in my way or something. How about you, what do you do for fun?" He asked the same question, with a small smile, thinking that some adults should at least have a fun hobby to do when taking a break from the job. "I do also work on experiments at home, well, for fun and I thought of one time, showing it to the police since new technology could come out from time to time to track down criminals or evidence." He said, taking out his cell phone to show her one of the experiments that he created from a book that he found in the library. "This experiment, that I worked on, took a long time to make, but, it does have many features to it. It does have buttons to detect the evidence and to explain on what it is. It also has a detector that does detect a creature coming its way towards a person." He explained briefly, hoping that the lady could understand on what he was talking about, and also had hope that it could be useful for future crime and evidence findings.

Yang was right. Hiro was a geek. More specifically, he seemed like an inventive geek. Yang whistled in appreciation when Hiro showed her some of the stuff he had worked on. "Wow. Looks like we've got a little Einstein on our hands," she teased. When Hiro mentioned that he'd like to help her out if she ever needed a partner or something. She gave a little chuckle. "That's a sweet offer, kid. But my line of work is more physical than mental. Unless you can invent a robot bodyguard or something, you'd get your little butt kicked into next week." She gave a little toss of her hair. "I mostly do fighting for a living. I got enough kickboxing skills and literal firepower to help me win more than a few matches." Yang figured she might as well be honest. Hiro seemed to trust her so easily, she'd feel bad about outright lying to him.

As he thought that this young woman looked up at him, as though a geek would talk like that, he would think to himself as somewhat a geek since he did think that inventing things for the police with technology would be a way to let the police know that having technology on their hands would be an easy way to see evidence or catch the intruder pretty quickly. He heard her whistle as though she was impressed by this, and he, indeed appreciating her liking the way he built things in a technological way. He did hope that one of the officers would at least be impressed as well, and thought they could use it to their advantage one day when looking out for a crime happening. He then heard her compliment of her calling him an "Einstein" and he did give out a small chuckle by that comment, and his brother would at least give him similar compliments, and thought that it was at least really nice that people were at least liking his hard work. "Why, thank you, Yang. Glad that you and my brother like my work. I am cofident that the officers would like my work for sure." He said, with a soft smile appearing on his face with hope. He knew that his inventions would work, but, he hoped that one time, the invention could at least be useful, after all, the invention had everything that it needed to help out. He then saw that was responding to his comment about him helping her out but, then heard her mentioning that her work was physical, and he nodded. "Ah, gotcha. I do kick boxing on the side, to at least defend myself." He said, with a small smirk, as though he did want to one day help her in the future; he did chuckle on one part when she mentioned that he might need to create a robotic body guard, which did not sound like a bad idea after all. He then typed it in his notes saying "one robotic guard for Yang." After writing that down, he showed Yang the note that he put down for himself, as thought he was going to do this to at least help. "Well, guess what, Yang. I can create a bodyguard robot for you in case any creature would come up to you. I'll make sure that it could have a detector as well." He said, and gave her another small wink. He then was hearing her mentioning that she mainly fights for a living, and he nodded with a whistle. "Ah, I see. I bet that protects you and gets you really strong, that's a good thing, keep it up!" He said, giving her a fist bump; once he heard that she mentioning that she uses kickboxing and firepower, he widened his eyes, as that did sound really amazing. "Wow, two amazing things into one. I got to say, Yang, you are very unique in many ways." He said, with a soft smile and looked up to her, giving her a wink. He thought that using physical and a fire power would get scare off those enemies really quickly if one did approach her one day, and he could imagine the creatures or enemies being scared beccuase of that.

"Is your brother a genius like you?" Yang asked. If he was anything like Hiro, he probably was. Yang wondered if she would meet him someday. When Hiro offered to make her a bodyguard, she gave a little laugh. "That's sweet of you, kid. But I can handle myself." To demonstrate, she held out her hand. In an instant, a flame appeared in her palm. "See? I'm good," she said before making the flame disappear. Kickboxing was a pretty good skill to have. But when you combined it with fire powers, it really packed a punch, literally. Hiro seemed to understand her capabilities though, and even admired them. She had to smile at his compliment. "Hey, don't sell yourself short. You're pretty unique too," she said. "When I was your age, stuff like math and science gave me a headache. But you've practically got them wrapped around your finger."
