Yang thought for a moment before answering. "Hard to tell. On the one hand, she's not a big fan of cops. She and Shadow even kind of started off on the wrong foot. But...they're alike, in a lot of ways. Once they got past the rough part, I guess it was only too easy for them to bond." Now that she thought about it, she wondered what Jane's romantic history was like. Had she had any serious relationships before? Or maybe she'd been the type who only had flings now and then, like Yang used to. She'd have to ask about that next time they met up.

He was clearly joking. Jane probably had a reason to dislike cops if she had a reputation for it. Some people felt wronged by the police. Yang had for a little while. She had been distrustful of them at least but she overcame that, even became an officer herself. Which he couldn't be prouder of her for. She was really growing as a person and it was amazing to watch. He almost felt like his girlfriend could take on the world if she wanted.

Yang snickered. "Good thing we got over that...mostly." She wasn't sure if Jane was a fan of any other cop besides her and Shadow. Did she even like Aqua? She was Namine's room mate after all, and she clearly cared for her. And Namine was part of Jane's family. Yang hoped that Jane at least didn't hate her enough to go off on her or something. Aqua had been through a lot and she was a good person. "Well, 'the thief' certainly has a bit of charm about him," she teased with a smile. Adrien was pretty good at getting others to let their guard down and trust him. Yang, Shadow, and Sunshine had been suspicious of him when they'd first met him, but it hadn't taken him too long to get on their good side. Even with his Chat Noir days behind him, Adrien still had that talent.

He reached over and brushed a strand of her hair out of her face. Not all cops were like her, Shadow or Sunshine. They just didn't give the same amount of effort as the trio did. Where their job was everything to them. One bad apple could ruin the bunch. Or one bad cop could ruin the reputation of all the other cops. Adrien wanted to see the police force flourish, but they had to get over the biases about Others and gifted humans. People had such a difficult time seeing past differences they failed to see how people were the same.
"Oh? I'm charming huh? Tell me more," he teased.

Yang laughed. "Don't I praise you every day?" she laughed. "I always tell you that you're funny..." She gave him a light kiss on his left cheek. "And sweet..." Another kiss on his right cheek. "And generous to a fault." She gave one last kiss on Adrien's lips. "Not that I mind saying everything that's good about you. But I'm afraid I may sound like a broken record at some point." Then again, Adrien probably wasn't the type to get sick of that sort of thing. She certainly wasn't sick of him saying all the things he loved about her.

"Aw, you're going to make me blush," he teased, his grin was unrepentant.
Adrien smiled after each compliment and each kiss following. Every time he thought he couldn't fall more in love with her, she proved him wrong. They had been tried and tested. At the end of the day, they were still together. Still so deliriously happy. It could almost bring him to tears of joy. His wonderful girlfriend who, in her own way, saved him. Sure, they repeated how much they loved each other but they were happy.
"But how can I compare to you?" he asked. "My kind." He followed her path, kissing his left cheek. "Amazing." With a kiss to her right cheek. "Cop with a heart of gold."

Yang felt a little pleasure at seeing Adrien blush, although she was soon doing the same as Adrien complimented and kissed her back. It made her just want to kiss him nonstop like she usually did. However, they were right in the middle of the beach. It had almost been too easy for Yang to forget that she was in the water. "You're really testing my self control, baby," she said, giving him a sultry look. "Wanna move this beach date to somewhere a little more...private?" Her place might be good. Or his. Or the back of his car. It didn't really matter to her. Physical affection was what Yang was good at, and she'd been holding back a bit since she and Adrien had gotten here.

Now Adrien was truly blushing. Sure they had pushed the boundaries of kisses, but more privacy meant something further. There was no doubt in his mind that he would be eager to show her any amount of affection, but he wasn't nearly as 'experienced' as she was. His relationships had all been staged. Power couples that didn't' truly love each other at all. So nothing ever became of them. Just togetherness for the sake of ratings and 'breakups' that caused sympathy from the fans. All publicity.

Yang couldn't help but giggle a little at Adrien's face turning red. It was cute. "Cool beans," she replied as she gave Adrien one more kiss. "We can head back to my place. I'm sure my couch has missed being our love seat for a while." Her fingers wrapped around Adrien's as she headed back to shore. All in all, she considered this a successful date. No drama, no stalking reporters, no punches thrown. Maybe having dates out in public places could be more of a regular thing for the two of them. Of course, nothing beat lazing about in the comforts of their own homes.

Adrien couldn't stop the wild laugh over the bad joke. He doubted he would have tried. He enjoyed far too much of every moment with Yang. Bad jokes and all. He counted himself lucky every time he looked at her. So when she took his hand, leading the way to the shore, he squeezed a little tighter. As if to reassure himself this was real. That despite everything, they had beaten the odds.
"We better go fix that," he told her.

Yang gave a laugh before drying off and sticking her shorts back on. At least she didn't have too much stuff to carry back to her motorcycle. "Wanna race back?" she asked. "I don't think I've seen your car in action yet." Sure, it was technically an illegal thing to do, but Yang was in a playful mood. And driving fast was something she loved to do, especially when it was on her motorcycle.

He gathered up his things that they had laid out and dashed to his car. They were going to be racing but he was pretty sure they were both going to drive safely. Yang wouldn't risk her job for a silly bet. She would get in trouble for any law breaking, just like he would. They hadn't even thought up terms of the bet before they dashed off to their vehicles. Still, he was up for a bit of fun.

Adrien seemed pretty enthusiastic about the idea. That made Yang smile, considering the fact that he'd been a little spooked when on the back of her motorcycle. Maybe he just liked cars more. Or maybe he just knew she could be a bit crazier behind the wheel. Either way, she found it amusing. She stuck her helmet on her head before starting up her motorcycle. No doubt her hair would be a frizzy mess by the time she got back to her place, but she didn't mind. She gave Adrien a cheeky grin before taking off. She liked this date and all, but she was eager to show Adrien some affection once they were at her house. It would make this day end on a very sweet note.
