If Yang was honest, she'd admit that she hadn't really done much with the water since Adrien had taken her to his beach house all those months ago. Sure, the water didn't scare her anymore, but she wasn't about to go diving headfirst into it. Still, if anyone could make her spend time near it, it was Adrien. Which was why when he'd suggested having their next date at the Placid Lagoon since they hadn't been there together yet, she was all for it. After her parents had died, she tended to avoid the place except if her kids wanted to go. And even then, she usually sat on the sand, far away from the water while they played around. But today, she wasn't going to just sit on the sidelines. She wanted to enjoy herself too, and she felt like she needed a break. Things at work had been busy lately, although she always joked it was because Shadow was making girls' heads turn with his new human form. But she pushed all thoughts of work and anything else out of her mind as she parked her motorcycle. This was her time with Adrien and she didn't want to be distracted. She glanced around the parking lot, wondering if he was already here. His car was kind of hard to miss. Then again, her motorcycle was the same.

"Hey, thanks for dropping me off Tom! You should take the rest of the day off too. Tell Natalie that applies to all staff."
Adrien stepped out of the car. Tom had pulled up to drop him off. The man seemed rather excited at the prospect of a day off. Work had been going good, they were ahead of schedule. Anything important could wait 24 hours. Plus, it was a really nice day. Adrien would feel horrible if he got to go out and have some fun and his staff was stuck inside, tending to things in the manor. He grabbed his beach bag and headed towards the warm sand. Already it was slopping in between his toes with his flip flops providing little cover. He grinned when he spotted Yang, already there, so he waved to her. Sure, this was the beach, but it wasn't a private beach. Other beachgoers would be here. There was the risk of the paparazzi or avid fans but Adrien wanted a normal life with Yang. So he wasn't about to let that stop him.

If Adrien's car was too conspicuous, nobody else seemed to think so. He made his way over to Yang with nobody staring. Or maybe they were just too busy to pay attention to the random strangers around them. Meeting out with Adrien in public did always run the risk of running into rabid fans or reporters. Although Yang had to admit, they hadn't been too bothersome lately. Maybe it was because Adrien was finally telling them to go screw themselves, in the politest way possible of course. Or maybe they knew that as a member of the Others Unit, Yang could send anyone flying with a single punch. Either way, Yang doubted they'd be too much of a hassle. She smiled at Adrien and waved back at him. He seemed to have all the beach essentials with him. As for her, she'd really just brought the basics and thrown a pair of shorts over her red-orange swim suit.

Adrien couldn't help the bright smile that crossed his lips. It had been a long week without Yang. They both had work to do. He certainly kept himself busy so he could take the day off with her without guilt. His company was flourishing now that he had both Namine and Elsa working as designers. He had a new model so he didn't have to go out as often. He walked over to her and once he got close, he laced his hand with hers. He knew being here was probably harder on her since she had a fear of water, but there were plenty of things to do without going into the water. Truly, he just wanted to spend time with her and enjoy the weather while things were still nice out.
"Hello Princess," he greeted.

Yang felt better once Adrien was by her side and his hand was holding hers. Then again, she always felt happier when he was near her. She still had moments sometimes where she couldn't believe that she'd ended up with a guy like him, that they were still together despite everything they'd gone through. "Hey baby," she said, smiling before giving him a peck on the cheek. "Looks like we chose a good day to come out here. No rabid fans or paparazzi swarming us." She meant it as a joke, although she did glance around one more time just to make sure they weren't sneaking up on them.

"So... I might have posted something online about going to Nevermore today," he mused.
People would be camped out all day waiting for him. It would be good for business, since they were likely to buy something in the mean time. Plus, he did have a picture of a drink he got from Nevermore saved as backup. He would post it later today. This distraction would keep people from expecting him at the beach. Because he already said he was going to Nevermore. It was a new strategy he had thought up.

Yang snickered. "That'd be hilarious to see," she said. "Maybe they'll start buying stuff once they've been sitting around for a while and give the place some business. That'd make Sunshine happy." Her blonde friend was still off on her honeymoon with Riku. Yang just hoped the two were enjoying themselves. Their wedding had been beautiful to look at, but what else could you expect from a girl with artistic talents and a guy with a big budget? Those two things combined made the ceremony a lot of fun.

"That's the plan!" he chuckled.
He had to do something to get the media and his fans off his back. He had to be smart and clever, but only use this trick seldomly. Otherwise people would catch on. He had to play his cards right if he wanted to go out with Yang like a normal person. Though, ironically, he had been so strung out during their first few months dating because he was afraid all the paparazzi and fans would scare her off. And yet she stayed. That meant the world to him in ways she would probably never understand.

Yang chuckled along with him and gave Adrien's hand another squeeze. Maybe the paparazzi was something they'd always have to deal with, but at least they had ways of getting rid of them for a few hours. Yang wasn't going to let them bother her. "So, wanna find a place to camp all our stuff?" she asked. "Looks like we got pretty good pickings." No doubt the place would get more crowded as the afternoon wore on, but for now, things were relatively relaxed and chill. Yang wouldn't mind soaking up some sun before hitting the water.

"Sounds like a good idea!" Adrien said. "I've got the picnic blanket and the cooks sent some sandwiches and snacks."
He had been doted upon before he had headed out the door. The staff heard about his 'day off' and had prepped a meal for him and Yang. He had been warned to wear sunblock and not to swim an hour after eating. It was... endearing. Never before had his staff been so open with him. It was truly like one big happy family. In fact, it choked him up a bit to the point where Natalie ushered him out of the room so he could recompose himself, with nothing more than a smile and handing him a handkerchief.

"Aw, that was nice of them," Yang said. "I'm sure they'll taste great." All of the staff knew Yang by now, and she wasn't uncomfortable around them like she used to be. Heck, Adrien's whole house used to make her feel a bit awkward. She felt like she stood out so much. But she'd grown to like the place, and the staff treated her as well as they did with Adrien. She was practically part of the household. Or maybe they just liked her 'cause she perked the place up a bit. She knew the mansion could feel a bit empty to Adrien sometimes, when he was the only one there. Yang wanted to make sure it wasn't a cage like when his father was around, and she liked to think she'd succeeded on that part. Of course, Adrien now having the freedom to do what he wanted with his life certainly helped too.

Adrien laced his fingers with Yang's and began to walk across the beach, trying to find the best place to throw down their towels. Just the idea of laying out in the warm sand, enjoying the day, with Yang by his side was one to brighten his entire day. He had been indoors all week due to filing new hire paperwork and scheduling events or them on top of sealing a new contract with a fabric company. Things had been eventful for him. Eventful, but dull. He loved his newfound freedom but sometimes the paperwork was dreary.
"I've missed you." he said softly. "How have you been?"

Sand spilled over Yang's feet as she walked, but she didn't mind. It felt nice. Adrien laid out some towels and she sat down on one of them, leaning back on her hands as she stretched out her legs. The sun warmed her skin, but she didn't feel like she was about to burn into a crisp anytime soon. It felt just right. And for once, she felt like her robot arm didn't stand out so much. Hopefully, it would stay that way for the rest of the day. Yang didn't want to ruin anything by getting self-conscious. "Been good," she replied. "Just been doing regular work stuff since Sunshine and Riku's wedding." Of course, things had been looking better, but that was mostly because she'd repaired her friendship with Moses, and she couldn't exactly talk about that. That would involve mentioning Vanitas and Yang wanted to keep her promise to not mention him to anyone until Moses got things straightened out. "How about you? Anything new at work?"

"Yeah, they went off to Paris." Adrien said. "The weather is supposed to be nice there all week."
He hadn't been to Paris in ages. Which was funny considering he worked for a fashion industry. He would have to start doing some abroad trips soon. But he could always see if Yang wanted to tag along. She'd enjoy traveling. She seemed to like it when they went to the private island. But they were together for that one. His work could pull him away from time to time if it was a business trip. No, it was probably best to save their travel for leisure trips when he could devote all of his time to her.
"A few new hires actually. So I don't have to be the boss and the only model." Adrien said. "And a few new budding fashion designers."

"Ah Paris, the city of lovers," Yang said with a laugh. It seemed like a good destination for the two of them though. She'd have to ask Sunshine how the food was there. Being a baker, she'd probably flip out at all the tasty French pastries. Although Yang doubted anything was as good as the beignets over at the Nevermore bakery. They'd always been her favorite. Adrien was having some luck finding new models and designers, so that was good. "Does this kind of scenery bring you back to any photo shoots you've done?" she asked teasingly. Models dressed in the hottest swimsuits while basking on a beach seemed to be a typical theme once summer rolled around. Every model seemed to participate in one of those eventually, and Adrien was no exception. Yang had seen a few of those in magazines over the years, even before she'd even met him. Everyone in the picture was always laughing, had a nice tan, and were probably twenty pounds lighter than they ought to be.
