After processing both Vanitas and Omar, they were both transferred to holding cells, par the stops made to cat catalogue the injuries both men had and to clean Omar's wounds. Aqua sighed as she looked over the paperwork. Now, she had to decide who to interview first since she had no partner to assist her with that part of her work. She had spoken briefly with Omar but that still left the demon Vanitas who by the sounds of things, started the fight intentionally.
"Hey!" Vanitas shouted from the cells, "Sometime tonight Blue! Some of us have places to be!" The yellow eyes demon was seething because he actually got caught with something for once. He should have slaughtered the whole bar, pet projects aside. That would have been satisfying. Now he was stuck behind bars. He was shaking with unrestrained anger.

"How many days have passed like this? This city the crowd is fading, moving on I sometimes have wondered where you've gone Story carries on Lonely, lost inside I had this dream so many times The moments we spent has past and gone away Could there be an end to this What I'm feeling deep inside You know there's no looking back
Glassy sky above As long as I'm alive You will be part of me Glassy sky the cold The broken pieces of me..."
If Vanitas didn't like his singing or songs, Omar was going to sing just to annoy the demon. Maybe it was dangerous but he felt it was safe-ish with them both behind bars. Omar broke off his singing to shake with laughter. "Aww, what's the matter devil spawn? ticked to find you're not above the law? Huh? Upstart little demon" Omar went back to singing. It was his way to stick it to the demon.

"You might be careful how you describe all demons."
Pitch's voice spoke to the redheaded troll as he silently stepped into the cell block just outside the interrogation rooms. Normally he would have been preoccupied with his own undercover case and not have volunteered to help interrogate two bar brawlers. However, he was between cases at the moment and wasn't above assisting his fellow detectives when his own schedule was open.
"I heard you were in need of assistance, Aqua. Perhaps I can be of some help this evening."
He spoke to the young woman as he stepped up beside her but his gaze remained fixed on Omar for a moment, taking him in before moving onto the other cell and its occupant. He kept his face blank but inside couldn't help and laugh at the fact that Vanitas had been arrested over a crime as simple and idiotic as public fighting. He had managed to slither and sneak out of so many other, much more serious charges that it was ironic he had been caught for fighting with a troll.

Aqua looked up from the paperwork she was looking over. To say she was surprised to see officer Black was an understatement. It took a moment for her to process his offer. She couldn't interview them both at the same time and she had already gotten a statement out of Omar, but she would need it written down now that his arms had been treated. "Only if it's not an inconvenience to you," she said. "I wouldn't exactly turn you down."
However, if Aqua needing assistance like this kept up, the department would assign her a new partner. Aqua wasn't thrilled by that prospect. It actually terrified her. Especially since her last partner had been a traitor to the badge and the people he was supposed to protect and serve. She wasn't sure how much worse partners could get from there, but she was afraid to find out. She didn't want to set herself up for another disappointment.
Vanitas was beyond furious. Another demon was in the holding cells. This one was pretending to be one of many cops but he knew... Demons never truly changed, nor did people. That Faery would pay for this, as would the troll. He would make them both suffer greatly for this humiliation. "Screw you," he hissed at Omar. He was a few seconds away, witnesses or not, from killing the troll in cold blood.

Omar stopped singing and observed the new demon. He waved a hand in dismissal. “I wasn’t talkin bout all demons. Sorry if it sounded like I was” he stated casually to the guy. He didn’t like cops or demons but it was probably best to be polite in case he was interrogated by this guy. He rubbed his bandaged arms and looked around. He could practically call these cells home, he really could. “Sorry, I don’t swing that way. Especially with someone like you” Omar told Vanitas in response to his ‘screw you’.

"It isn't."
Pitch spoke to Aqua as he looked down at the report she was writing up. It appeared as though she had finished interrogating the troll and that left Vanitas to take care of.
"I'll handle Vanitas' interrogation from here while you finish your report."
Pitch's golden gaze looked up from the incomplete file as Omar and Vanitas started once more fighting, only this time they were separated by bars and could only use words instead of fists to deal damage.
"If you ladies are quite done with your catfight, I need to speak with Vanitas."
Pitch went over to the bars of the second cell and pulled out a set of handcuffs as he locked his gaze onto that of the other demon's. The shadows around the edges of the cell began to move ever so slightly but remained put for the moment.
"Your choice, Vanitas. You can come calmly or we can do this the less pleasant way."

"I'll just go look for corroborating statements from some of the patrons from the bar then," Aqua said. Let's see, she had to call the bartender, the rest of the band, a few of the other patrons who had wanted to say something to the police and media for a bit of attention. But she stopped at Omar's cell, offering him a smile as she did. She found that being kind to the people she arrested, often put them in a better mood, easier to confess if they found her as the sympathetic ear. "How are your arms?"
Vanitas snarled under his breath over Omar's remarks. He would have lashed out but the door to his cell swung open. . His mood soured even more when he saw the other demon step into his cell. His eyes narrowed in disgust as he looked at Pitch, looming in his doorway and trying to strike the fear of another demon in him. Vanitas was not impressed. "Let me guess, they saw there was a demon in here, and they made an announcement over the PA for the first demon to get in here." Vanitas retorted. "Is this supposed to put me at ease and make me talk?"

Omar raised an eyebrow at the smile but shrugged at the question. "Oh, fine. Still a little sore but much better, no thanks to him" he rolled his eyes and quirked an eyebrow. "How long am I going to have to stay in here, then? I kind of want to see if I can patch things up with my band and to do that I need to find them" He was pretty sure he knew where they'd be, but he wanted to catch them before they left the coffeeshop.

Pitch's expressionless mask suddenly broke but not in the way expected. Instead of looking unnerved or worried or annoyed, a small smirk had crept across his lips along with a look of mild amusement.
"Wrong twice. Actually everyone else was far too busy dealing with significant and time-consuming work to come and deal with a spoiled, self-entitled boy that doesn't seem to realize how much fun the papers will have when they hear that the great Vanitas was arrested for a pub-side brawl. And since I am currently out of cases, it only seemed fair to deal with this pesky little annoyance so that my coworkers can do real work."
Pitch's voice also carried the note of amusement in it, although the feeling was mostly for show and to anger Vanitas more. After all, angry suspects were much more stupid than calm ones and were more likely to admit to the crimes they committed.
"So I'll ask this once more since you seem to have difficulty processing questions, the easy way or the unpleasant way?"

"You make this unpleasant and you'll be the one in the papers," Vanitas replied in confidence. "I can see it now. Demon Cop Shows True Colors. You and I both know the media loves stories like that." Not like Vanitas gave a damn about his reputation. When it was damaged in the slightest, it made people underestimate him. He could then use it for his own self benefit. He didn't care what this officer thought of him. They would all pay the for his humiliation by the time he was done with them. And really He did like making the best of what cards were dealt to him. With an over exaggerated sigh, he got to his feet. "But since I've got nothing better to do with my time until my lawyers get me out, I'll talk."
"Well, it would go faster if we could get some statements that agree with one side of the story." Aqua said. But that meant statements that could either back up or deny what Omar had told her. "You do get a phone call. You could see if your band won't come down here, make a statement on your behalf? You're friends, aren't you?" She was glad he wasn't hurting. And she wanted to help make things go smoothly on both of their parts, particularly since Omar's lifestyle and living was firmly tied with his band. She would hope they would stay together.

"...You're probably not going to get them from him and I don't know how much the bartender saw" He sighed and rubbed his face in his hands. This was so messed up in so many ways and not where he had imagined he would be when he had thought about how he'd spend his night after his set. He had been thinking of maybe calling that Namine girl and arranging a meeting so she could sketch that album cover for him. He was thinking maybe a troll mother chasing cartoonish members of his band. Remembering the far-off time when he had been a child, he remembered how his own mother had been a typical rough-mannered mother troll who showed love through lullabies and hard knocks. "I...honestly don't have anyone to call" he finally muttered. "I just want to get out of here so I can go head off my band before they all go home. But if you want them for a statement you can find them at the coffeeshop"

Pitch merely raised an eyebrow at Vanitas' comments about how he would be the one to end up in the papers. Clearly he thought that as a fellow demon, he was all about threats and imposing power. Well, Vanitas was welcome to his thoughts but clearly didn't understand Pitch in the slightest of ways and that was good. If the other demon misjudged him it might give him the leverage he needed to get a confession that would stick. Of course it would amount to little in the legal system but it would be a start towards pinning something bigger on Vanitas.
"What? Run out of things do to when you couldn't make it with your friend in yonder cell?"
The comment was delivered in a calm voice and yet based on how he had reacted to Omar's comeback earlier, he was certain it would greatly annoy his charge. However, he didn't wait to put the handcuffs on the demon, bringing them around his back so that he could be safely taken to the interrogation room right next door. As the cuffs slammed closed, the binding runes etched along the edge glowed a deep gold, ensuring that whoever wore the cuffs, human or Other, wouldn't be able to slip them.
"I'll be next door if you require anything, Aqua."
And with that, Pitch stood behind Vanitas and steered him out of the holding cells and directly into the interrogation room. It was bare except for a wide one-say window, a metal table and two chairs placed on each side. Pitch shut the door before releasing the handcuffs and tucking them away. After they were safely stowed, Pitch did nothing more but stand silently and watch Vanatis.

"And I promise I'll do everything I can to make sure this goes as quickly as possible," she said. "Just hang in there until then."
With a soft sigh she headed back to her desk, pulling up a seat and began dialing and calling everyone who had left their number with the police to get statements. She tried her best not to feel guilty that this man obviously thought no one in the world cared that he was in lock up and that he had no one to fall back to. Everyone had to have someone they could count on, right? For her it used to be her partner. No, maybe Omar was like her, and decided he was better off alone. No one could hurt you that way.
"Yes, this is officer Malone, I'd like to speak to you about an incident tonight - "
Vanitas sneered as Pitch cuffed him. He knew exactly what types of cuffs these where, and admittedly, it was a smart move on Pitch's part. They were not so easily broken out of. Not easy, but also not entirely impossible. They were just a pain to do so. More hassle than it was worth. He just had to play along until he lawyers showed up. And if they didn't, well, there would be some more missing person reports for these officers. As Pitch marched him along to the interrogation room, he cast a sideways glance at Omar and smirked.
"Apparently. Guess some guys don't like it rough." Vanitas remarked.
Aqua waved to Pitch to signal that she heard him, before nodding and turning back to her phone call with one of the band groupies who had given her number to one of the other responding officers, most likely for a date, since she was sorely disappointed with who was calling, but Aqua was still writing down her statement regardless and trying to piece together the story.
Vsnitas turned to face Pitch after the cuffs were released and he folded his arms across his chest. He had been in plenty of interrogation rooms. This one was hardly intimidating for the trouble stirring demon. He went to the table and sat down on the 'suspect' side as he tried to keep a laugh contained.
"Tell me about yourself officer," Vanitas said sarcastically. "How many times has it been you on the other side of the table?"

Omar squatted down in his cell as the officer started calling people and sighed again. He wished he had his guitar and stuff to play while he waited. His greatest fear was that everyone would side with the demon for some reason and Omar would be in more trouble than he already was. He watched the demon being led away by the other demon and leapt to his feet when Vanitas insulted him yet again. This time though he held his tongue and simply watched the demon being led away to another room, glaring all the while.

Pitch didn't even move when Vanitas spoke, didn't so much as shift in his seat or move or even blink. Instead, his yellow eyes watched the younger demon with a look that was impossible to read and yet was far more than a mere look.
When Vanitas asked Pitch to tell him more about himself, nothing changed for the demon detective. He remained as still as before, a statue who's eyes were far too alive to truly be a piece of stonework.
