"Ah, um, you don't have to," she said. "W-What about your band?"
Namine's eyes widened in surprise. She quickly looked down at her feet, avoiding the gaze of the musician and the officer. She had been on her way out the door when she saw Omar, but she didn't want him to go out of his way again to take her home. He had so many things he had to do before the night was over.
Aqua didn't blame him for being upset with her. She wasn't happy with how things were turning out either. Evidence made it look like Vanitas started things. He may have escalated if she hadn’t gotten there when she did. Perhaps she should have let Omar take that 'one last swing' at the demon. Luckily, his instrument was not used in the scuffle, otherwise it would have been processed and Aqua wouldn’t have been able to give it back. Instead, it sat atop of her desk, waiting its owner.
The faery smiled nevertheless. It seemed the big and tough anti-police activist had a soft spot for Namine. He certainly hadn't been as hostile as Aqua expected considering he sat for a few hours and nothing came of his patience. Perhaps it was because the meek blonde was nearby. Aqua really thought it would do the blonde some good to have some friends who were a little more forthcoming than she was, or help to have friends at all. Perhaps they could be good influences on each other.
"Your guitar is at my desk. You can get it on your way out." Aqua said.
Vanitas grit his teeth to bite back a scathing remark and his hands were clenched tightly at his side. Yes, these officers would pay dearly for what they had done. By the time he was through with them, the police force would be in shambles. To keep from saying anything, he grabbed his lawyer by the arm and shoved him out the door of the task force.
