"Any time," Jane confirmed.
Jane would be looking after Yang and her kids for ages. She felt it was the least she owed Yang. Besides, the girl was sweet, just trying to do the right thing in a city that ate childhood up like it was chocolate. Maybe the Chat Noir guy would be a good influence for her to relax? Who knows? At this point, Jane was about ready to try anything to make sure that Yang was as happy as any girl her age should be.
"So, how about we go grab dinner you can take back to your place?" Jane suggested.

"That sounds good," Yang said. The kids always liked takeout, although that might have been because they didn't really have an oven back at the theater. Any food they made there had to be microwaveable, or able to be cooked over an open flame that Yang made. "Got any place in mind?" she asked as she stood up.

Jane smiled. She got up when Yang did, gathering up their trash before dumping it in the trash can near their table. The kids had been over the moon about the extra large pizza Jane sent Yang home with last time. She had laughed so hard when Yang had told her. Honestly, it reminded her of her brother. How much of a mess he would make when he ate, like a little monster. All hands in and shoveled his food into his face. She bet the kids were just as happy to have the pizza.
"What are you in the mood for?" Jane asked.

Yang thought for a moment before answering. "How about some seafood?" she asked. "There a couple of places like that scattered about here." Some were sit-down restaurants, others were more fast-food, but seafood was kind of a staple of Louisiana. It'd be impossible to go into any city and not find at least one seafood restaurant somewhere.

"Sure. Whatever you want." Jane said.
She was surprised the kids would eat seafood. It just seemed like one of those things the kids would be stubborn about eating. Granted it was Bellerouge City and they were so close to the harbor anyways that the seafood was the freshest you could get it. Probably just hours between water and your plate. Jane herself had always liked 'turf' better than 'surf' but that was a troll thing. She wouldn't tell Yang about the hunting competition she had signed up for where she bagged herself an alligator and ate the whole thing. Over the span of a few months but the game and hunting thing were particularly troll traits that she couldn't shake.

"Awesome." Yang grinned. "Prepare to see me eat a crap-ton of popcorn shrimp." It was one of her favorite foods, and the best part was, her kids liked it too. Louie always kept insisting that he was going to beat Yang in a popcorn shrimp-eating contest, but so far, he hadn't been able to do it.

"Then let's go to one of your favorites for it!" Jane insisted. "If we're going to get you seafood, it may as well bet the best."
She grinned. She could just imagine how much Yang liked it. She liked that Yang was opening up with her. She had been closed off, when they first met. Social, yes, but not giving away personal details like popcorn shrimp being her favorite or crushes. It made Jane feel rather important because Yang trusted her enough to tell her these things.
"Wonder if they have gator bites..."

"I think there's a place called Bayou Bounty that's not too far from here," Yang said. "They should have gator bites too." Yang wondered if alligator was that great. It just seemed weird, eating a reptile. Then again, they were pretty popular with people who were trying to eat something out of the norm.

"Yum." Jane giggled. "Lead the way!"
She wondered if the kids would eat them. Probably not. Probably too gamey for them, despite how it tasted similar to shrimp or to chicken, just a little chewier. At least it wasn't oysters. Those were one of the few things that Jane hated the most. She trailed along after Yang. The blonde still knew the best restaurants to eat, mostly because Jane made most of her food at home, versus eating out. She only had to feed one mouth though.

Yang gave another smile before heading off. The Bayou Bounty wasn't too far away, at least in her opinion. Yang tended to get anywhere she wanted to go by walking, so while some long distances intimidated people, she didn't have much of a problem with it. As she walked, she was actually surprised that she felt a little better. Talking with Jane hadn't totally solved her problem with Chat, but at least she felt a little less down about it. She figured that had to count for something.
