"Yeah, tomorrow." Yang and Adrien still had a lot of time to spend together and just be alone. That thought made her happy. When Adrien asked if he could walk her back to her room, she nodded. "I hope everyone's doing okay back in Bellerouge," she said. "It seems like it always gets into some sort of crisis, one way or another." She just hoped nothing too major happened while she and Adrien were gone. She knew there wasn't much she could do, but still. She would hate to be away while the city suffered from, say, another jail break.

"I'm sure it's fine. It's not like if we left the city it would... blow up or something." he said. "Boom. Instant chaos the second we were out the door."
That seemed very unlikely. If there was to be trouble, there would be trouble whether they were there or not. At the same time, he was worried too. But at least Yang was as far away from any danger. He wouldn't be able to have him to himself like this forever. They went back to the city and they went back to him running his new company and her being alone... He didn't want that. He wanted her to be happy but didn't know how to do it. So for now, he would live in the moment, do what he could to make her happy.

Yang laughed. That was a good point. She doubted the city was going to descend into total chaos while they were gone. Maybe it was just her paranoia acting up. When she got to her room, she hesitated going inside for a moment. She knew Adrien made her room separate in order to make her feel more comfortable, and she appreciated that. But they'd been together for almost the whole day. It seemed weird, being separated now. She shook the thought away though. She was just being dumb. Besides, she didn't want to act clingy. Everyone needed their personal space, even Adrien. "Well, I'll see you in the morning. Okay?" She gave Adrien a smile and a kiss on the cheek before heading in. She hoped he wasn't about to start worrying about her. The last thing she wanted was for him to feel like he couldn't leave her alone for a minute without her getting paranoid or scared. She didn't want to be a burden.

It was hard separating. But he told himself this was for the better. He would have to get used to it when they went back. It's certainly not like they were at any stage for him to invite her to move in. One step at a time. They were still on what a lot of people called the honeymoon stage of a romance, right? Sweet kisses and blushes. He liked it. Besides, his room was right across from hers. If she needed him, he would be there.

After all the excitement that had happened during the day, Yang fell asleep quickly...for a couple of hours. But, even being on a private island with her boyfriend didn't stop her sub-conscious from acting up, and she tossed and turned as a nightmare played in her mind.
Yang's chest heaved in and out as she stood up. Her whole body hurt, but she couldn't give up. She had to keep fighting. The longer she could hold off Thrax, the longer head start Louie would get. She had to keep him safe.
"Yang, honestly, you don't have to keep doing this," Thrax said, a leering grin on his face. "Why risk your life for a little brat like Louie? He obviously doesn't care-"
"Shut up!" Yang dashed forward, coiling back a fist that was covered with flames. But Thrax was faster, and kicked her backwards before she even knew what happened. She felt the wind get knocked out of her and she struggled to get up and catch her breath at the same time.
"You see? Anything you do is pointless. No matter how much you try, you'll never succeed. Face it: you were destined to fail."
Yang coughed as she tried to stand up again. But she suddenly felt two pairs of hands on her, pinning her onto the ground. She was horrified to see that it was Cinder and Gavin, both of whom had evil smiles on their faces. No matter how much she struggled and fought, she couldn't break free. Thrax entered her view, his red claw gleaming.
"You really think you can move on from this?" he asked. "You'll always be scared of me. You're a coward."
"No! No!" Yang shook her head. It wasn't true. She wasn't failing. She was getting better. She was starting to overcome her fears. She could move on.
"You really think that if you were getting better, I'd still be here?" Thrax taunted. "No. I'll always be in your nightmares, Yang Xiao Long."
Thrax placed his claw near Yang's right arm. She knew what he was about to do and her heartbeat kicked into overdrive as she tried to get loose. But she couldn't move, and when Thrax started dragging his claw through her arm, a white-hot pain consumed her whole body. Her struggles gave way to mindless screams.
Yang woke up with a strangled gasp, shooting upright in less than a second. Her hand immediately clutched her right arm, which still felt like it was burning. She knew it was just a nightmare and that the pain wasn't real, but that didn't necessarily make it fade away any quicker. She could still feel her heart racing and the cold sweat that gathered on her skin. It was one of the many nightmares she had experienced over the last few months, but she still felt frustrated that they were happening even here. Even on an island in the middle of nowhere, she couldn't fully escape what had happened, and it made her worried that she could never get away from it.

Adrien had gone to his room and gotten ready for bed. But he was texted by Natalie. There were some documents he needed to sign. So he sat at his computer desk, printing the papers, reading them over and signing them. He would ask one of the staff to scan them over to Natalie in the morning, but a little bit of work so he could spend more time with Yang wasn't a bad thing. He was just about to turn in when he heard frightened shouting. He bolted from his desk, the chair falling over as he rushed out of the room, but he went to Yang's immediately. He hadn't even thought of what state Yang might have been in before he opened the door quickly. But she was okay, at least unharmed okay.
"Yang?" he asked softly. "Princess?"

Adrien's voice was soft, but it caught Yang's attention. Part of her was relieved that he was here. The other part of her felt ashamed. Could she go for one day without her paranoia kicking in or her mind going into total meltdown mode? "I'm...I'm okay," she said, forcing the words in between gasps for breath. "Just...just a dumb nightmare." She was still struggling to get her heart to calm down. It was stupid, the way it was overreacting so much. She was okay. She wasn't in any kind of danger here. She was far away from Bellerouge. But her mind kept jumping back to the way Thrax had grinned at her, how her arm slowly getting sliced off had made her feel like she was on fire. Her nightmares always tended to take that route, of having something totally painful happen to her. It was always getting her arm cut off, or being stuck underwater and drowning, or just being so afraid that she couldn't breathe or move or speak or-
Stop it! Yang struggled to get her thoughts under control. She couldn't let the bad ones like that keep dragging on until she felt ready to jump out of her skin. That was how she wound up having panic attacks, and the last thing she wanted was to delve into one here.

He was vaguely reminded of all the times he snuck into the Stella Theater and met with her. The dark of the night... He glanced into the hallway, one of his staff members had followed shortly after him, but he shook his head. They nodded and went back to their room. He closed the door behind him before walking over to the side of Yang's bed. She looked so scared that it nearly broke his heart. Thrax had maimed her in ways more than one and he would make sure that man burned for this, even if he had to hire a team of lawyers to lock him up for the rest of his unnatural life.
"Yang, it's okay." he reassured her. "Nightmares are normal."
He placed a hand on hers. He was out of his element. He didn't know how to make this better. At least not until Thrax was gone for good.

Adrien's hand was gentle on hers, and Yang tried to focus on that. She felt like she was ruining the trip, even though Adrien would immediately say otherwise. She just felt like things were finally getting good and the whole day had passed without incident until now. "I just...I thought being here would..." Her voice trailed off, realizing how stupid that sounded out loud. Changing the location didn't change the situation her mental state was in. She should have known that. She buried her face into her arms, feeling like she just wanted to disappear. Maybe if she just went into the endless void, Thrax wouldn't find her there. Being surrounded by nothing meant that nothing could hurt her. She thought maybe the island could be a place like that, but her fears had proven otherwise. No place could be a safe haven as long as her mind was like this, and she hated it.

"You are safe here," he told her, "But you went through something terrible."
She might always have nightmares after this. She was terrified. He reached over to her and wrapped her up in a hug. He couldn't fix the mental hurts. Time may give him the emotional ones to heal, but he hadn't had that much time. He wanted to help her. That much he knew for certain. She didn't deserve to feel this miserable. Unable to sleep because the demon literally haunted her.
"Please, let me know how I can help."

Yang didn't say anything for a moment. She just closed her eyes and tried to focus on calming down. Having Adrien's arms around her certainly helped. That familiar safe feeling crept over her, and it made her feel a little better. She knew she should try and get some sleep, but she didn't want to be alone again, not right now. Being by herself would only give her brain an opportunity to have her fears play out before her like a bad movie. "Could you...could you stay with me?" she asked, looking up at him. "I don't want to be alone." She hated looking clingy, but she was trying to be honest. Everyone always said that was the better option when it came to this sort of stuff. Of course, that didn't make it any easier.

"Of course I'll stay," he said.
He felt awful that she felt like had to ask. He would stay with her as long as she needed him to. He brushed some hair out of her face, it always made him feel better when his mother had done it when he was a child. Perhaps it would help Yang. He hesitated before he got fully onto the bed with her. This wasn't exactly what he expected would happen this weekend, but Yang needed him. If him being nearby helped her sleep, then he would do that.

Adrien answered without hardly any hesitation at all. It kind of surprised Yang. But that was forgotten when she snuggled up closer to him and his hands brushed some hair out of her face. He always seemed so careful with every movement he made around her. She knew part of that was just his gentle nature, but it was also because he was afraid of pushing her too far. She knew that much. She was setting the pace for this relationship, and he would go at whatever speed she wanted. She just wondered what he wanted sometimes. But she was afraid to ask. Her paranoia always turned out the worst possible scenarios with that question. Instead, she asked "You got here so fast. Were you up?"

"I had some papers I was finishing up." he said. "Signing a new contract with a new warehouse for our line and looking over some applications for models to replace me. Boring business stuff."
Yang had settled in next to him very quickly, which was a bit of a surprise to him, but he eased back onto the bed. He smiled at her. His work, while tedious, was to allow him as much time with Yang during the day as possible. He would not be like his father and sacrifice his social life or love life for a business. He could make this work, but he had to delegate things. Which was why he was looking at new models for the face of Agreste Fashions. So he could have time for a life outside of work. His company would stay a float another day as long as he did some work on it's behalf. Some of those things simply could not be put off.

"You gotta sleep too. You know that, right?" Yang asked. She didn't want Adrien spending all night working after entertaining her all day. He needed rest too and she didn't want him to push himself until he was completely empty. This was a vacation for him as much as it was for her. It was a minor thing to nitpick at, but it was a nice distraction from her nightmare. Her right arm didn't feel like it was burning anymore, but the fact that she had felt it so intensely earlier worried her a bit. Phantom limb pain had been unavoidable for her after she had lost her arm, but it hadn't happened so much that it became a huge problem. She was probably worrying over nothing, but she didn't want this to become another thing to add to her list of problems. She already had enough to deal with when it came to her paranoia and nightmares and getting triggered by stuff. She didn't have to deal with phantom limb pain too.
